[Jo...]
Hello, Is it possible to run a pallet type of inspection using the optics on my O-Inspect? We are making some very small parts on our waterjet, and we want to be able to inspect 10 parts at a time using the optics on our O-Inspect 543 and I was hoping we could speed up the programming process by using some sort of pattern recognition or pallet inspection, but I can't find any material in my manuals for how to do this type of programming. Any help would be great, thanks! -Joe Barajas

The most common option that is used for pallet inspection in Calypso is called Autorun. If you have a Zeiss Care agreement, I'd recommend contacting Zeiss's helpdesk to give you a jump start on the process. Here are two documents that discuss Autorun. The first is a manual (third party, not Zeiss) on using Autorun, and the second is one of many options (called LOS) for alignment to use in Autorun. Others on this forum are well versed in Autorun and pallet inspection. . Autorun Guide - by RG Loewenguth Co., Inc. . . LOS Alignment Option for Autorun . [Je...]
Good morning Joe, AutoRun is definitely the avenue to take. You are looking to complete a palletized run and the options are quite dynamic. Jeff provided some great info on it as well. Also, in the Calypso manuals the entire setup procedure and use can be found. Chapter 16 or 17 usually depending on your current version of Calypso. Manuals can always be found at; C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO\userinfo\manuals\en (or Calypso #.# depending on if you have parallel installations)
