[To...]
Just wrote a very long reply, and then I were logged out :/ We are using QDA, I will comeback by tomorrow to do the reply more one time. What is MES short for?
[To...]
We are using QDA to gather all of our quality data we collect data from both from manual measurements and from our CMM. When a non-conformity occur we collect Problem and Root cause as well. So we can analyze both the single lot and part number, or we can look into if any kinds of root causes occour more often than others. Mostly we look into if our production is stable. We are not having all of the modules available - only the data collection module. I bought the system for our company in the spring in 2019 until we were using ComGage, but I didn't feel that the system were future proof . Before buying QDA I were also looking into Q-das, but Q-das doesn't have the possibility to add modules inside the same software , so I would need to buy new software and link them together. Back to QDA. You can add both non-conformance module, incoming/outgoing inspection, supplier management, FMEA, PPAP, MSA and gage/tool management. I have been showed almost all of the modules, so I have a little knowledge about them NC module can calculate cost of poor quality, and you manage claims and internal NCs, and you will have it all stored in one place. Incoming/outgoing inspection don't need much presentation, but I would really like this module, as we would have more history on the parts without interfering with the data from our production. Also I see huge benefit in using skip lot and linking incoming inspection to our suppliers easier than we do right know. I haven't seen much of the FMEA and PPAP module, but from my knowledge you are able to have a lot pre-defined so it is very time/cost effective. FMEA can be linked to controlplan and with pre-defined templates it is very easy to print and send to customer. If you would like we can arrange a small Teams session for you to see how we are using it. The biggest benefit we have with the software is that it is easy to use and fast to make inspection plans. The stats from a part and production are easy to look into. We can pull out reports and design them in our own way. And I believe it is future proof. https://www.qda-solutions.com/

[Bi...]
Receiving inspection software will help to improve employee safety and create digital records that assist with regular maintenance. In addition, it will help a business’s productivity while complying with government regulations. [Er...]
We used to use discuss to balloon drawings, but are now using High QA. It's been pretty impressive. From Ballooning prints, to have it communicate with our ERP system to automatically create the upcoming jobs, to data collection from blue tooth gauges, file uploads, etc. the data is collected and reports created from the data. In process Checksheets, IR's, AS9102 FA's, PPAP's, SPC data, CPK, etc. along with keeping records of our inspection gauges. We looked into several software packages including NetInspect, Discus, and I'm sure a few others. We have been using this for about 2 years now. [Ro...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Hi Chad, Our receiving dept uses Net Inspect combined with Inspection Xpert. I don't use the software myself, but the inspectors talk highly of it. A lot of the big aerospace companies use it and require us to use it, and we require our vendors to use it if possible.
