Is there a sensor header that can benefit from the flexibility of an articulating probe holder combined with scanning capability.

You could purchase and exchange an XXT with your XT, if you don’t mind the cost. You could even change them back and forth according to your needs (although the exchange is not repeatable, so you can’t use both without recalibration).
