Alignment For Several Curves Question

I have an program that was written by someone else. There is a " Alignment for several curves " alignment in the program. Every time i go into it , it outputs a error saying " please select feature first". Could any provide any information to why it may be doing this ?

Does this curve recall measured points? Otherwise i have no clue.

You need more than one curve to use that alignment type, and there's only one in it.

Are there any changes from 2018 to 2020? I can use this even with one curve - I just need to select appropriate translation/rotation.

Could be, but I removed my last 2018 install last year. I know the intended path for fitting a single curve is to set the fit parameters in the curve's evaluation settings and using the Alignment button in the same window to create an alignment off that fit if needed.
