EXCEL protocol in GEAR

Hi there!

I'm fairly new to GEAR PRO and I'm just getting used to manipulate it...

I like to work with EXCEL for all R&R and analysis purposes, and i found in the "Setup" window the field "EXCEL"...

Sadly i didn't found no advice or instruction how to use that, i suppose I'll have to put some kind of "macros"-File in the selected folder (as in CALYPSO).... but which and where can i find it?

Or am I completely wrong?

Please help, it would make my daily live on work much easier! 🙂

I have never worked with gear pro, but if you have PCM in Calypso you can create Excel files fairly easy, but there are definitely "limitations" to my method.
Its good for data gathering to be retrieved by another program, but not for presentation or compiling.

In CALYPSO i use the EXCEL creator literally every day even without PCM.

With GEAR on the other hand it's a bit tricky... but i think ill gonna find a way

We managed to work it out via some MACROS on EXCEL, converting the .txt- files spit out by GEAR to a treatable EXCEL-file.
I'll be on vacation the next 12 days, but if you're interestet, i'll gonna send the to you afterwards.

In my active time in GEAR PRO i asked the devellopers what the Excel in GEAR is.

The answer was: it is an alternative editor to change nominal flankform data .

I never had a customer who asked for this alternative edit possibility.
