[Ri...]
I have a program I want to mirror from Y- axis to Y+ axis. Basically rotate it around the Z axis. No matter how I do this, the geometry is never in the correct place. Its like the X, Y and Z axis shift unknown amounts. See attached program. The program is in its normal state, Working from Y- to Y+. I want it to go from Y+ to Y-. π«£Calypso Calibration-Linearity Y+ to Y-_12-40 Inch Scale_10-19-2022.zip
[Ow...]
I really don't have time to try it but, any suggestion is better than no suggestion, right? Have you tried just flipping space axis in the the base alignments rotation in space (formally spatial) from -Y to +Y?
[Ma...]
I was able to make an alignment 180Β° and rotate the features around Z with the alignment and keep position checked then change from - to + on the X. Unchecked keep position and switched back to your original alignment. Maybe this isn't what you are trying to accomplish.
[Ma...]
Wouldn't be easier to just change tips and then manually touch part which will be rotated? No changes to program - just probes.
[Er...]
I believe the issue comes from the Alignment1. I have had the same issue before. If you change all the features to Base Alignment, then mirror the part, and finally change the features back to the Alignment, it should work. See if this is what you're looking for.Calypso Calibration-Linearity Y+ to Y-_12-40 Inch Scale_10-19-2023_Mirrored.zip
[No...]
[Unhelpful smart ass mode on π©βπ« ] Mirroring +Y to -Y is not the same as 180Β° Z rotation [Unhelpful smart ass mode on standby π§βπ» ] Sorry, it's Friday π€
[Er...]
I just realized i mirrored it along the X axis, and not the Y axis. So it's not what you want. I do believe you can get it to work though.
[Er...]
This may be what you are after. Check it out.Calypso Calibration-Linearity Y+ to Y-_12-40 Inch Scale_10-19-2023_Mirrored_Y Direction.zip
[Ri...]
This turned out to be a poor alignment.
