[Gr...]
I have this cone that I need to evaluate. I assume it has been crushed in some way and it wont fit properly the way it did before. How do I tell where this cone has been distorted. Do I do form plot? How exactly do I do that?
[To...]
Apply some high spot impression blue on the taper. Put it up in the spindle. Then, pull it out and observe where the blue has rubbed off. https://www.google.com/search?q=high+sp ... wQQK0Iz1lM
[Ja...]
I would scan as much of it as I can and use CAD evaluation.
[Ma...]
This usually don't bend or deform - didn't they place it into machine 180° rotated? It's stuck 2-3mm out. Don't know size of it, but HSK 63 A have 1:9,98 cone ( aprox. 2,87° ). All i can find is diameter at specified height, but not angle.
[Jo...]
Please sign in to view this quote. If you know the nominal taper, build the geometry and use best fit profile, CAD deviation to simulate this..
