[Da...]
I have some machinists who really can't give up on space point cad presentation views , even though I need to give them multi reports to show certain dimensional data. Currently this involves a few cad presentation PDFs and a separate multi print out PDF. Is there a way to combine the two separate PDFs into one PDF? ( I have only the free version of PiWeb and no training in PiWeb.)
[Ma...]
Using PiWeb you can click on Multiple Report on the Measurement tab Check - Exchange Row template and click on Display Plots in Report Select your Cad Presentation and click the Set to dropdown menu and switch to ON. [Da...]
Marc, Thank you ! That works perfectly. But, is there a way to mask the point values and still display the cad presentation numbers ? I tried masking but that removes the points, so nothing on the cad presentation. Not sure how "hide" works.
[Ma...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Up at the top of the Definition of Multiple Report click on Mark Characteristics Then you can hide the characteristics by selecting the characteristics you don't want displayed and from the Set To drop down select ON Then put a check mark in the Hide (selected characteristics are not displayed). Make sure they are not masked so they will run.
[Da...]
This all works Great ! My guys want the plots to be bigger. No one can read them. The plots are about 1/4 of the size. Any way to make them bigger?
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Did you set the magnification value in the characteristic window?

[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It defaults to "Undefined" (auto magnification) but you can also select 500x or type in your own.
[Da...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Finally got back to this. I am unable to change the value. It just stays as undetermined. I must be doing something wrong, it's not greyed out.
[Ma...]
Dave are you looking to magnify the plot because it's too low or are you trying to change the size of the frame around the plot to make the view bigger, short of putting a plot on it's own page? I was able to get the magnification to change as Tom suggested but it does not resize the frame of the plot. To do that I believe you would need to open up your standard protocol in PiWeb Designer and play with the size in the Layout Properties.
[Da...]
Marc, Full page for each plot would be fine, But all plots and data on one multi page pdf.
[Ma...]
I'm thinking the Plot Protocol may be a good option. It will save one PDF file with multiple pages. Full page plots! Each page will have the results for that plot at the bottom of each page.
[Je...]
If you have multiple PDFs you want combined into one, there is no better tool than Ghostscript. It runs automatically to combine all your PDF outputs into one "_all.pdf" https://www.ghostscript.com/\ If there were other options shown for combining multiple plot styles into one report, that is fine too. This is for PDF storage so that all your reports are compiled into one pdf file per part run.Ghostscript.png
[Da...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Yeah, I wanted to change the size of the frame. I was afraid that wasn't going to be simple. I actually would like it full frame ,taking an entire page.
[Ma...]
I wonder how it is on newer versions of Calypso, but on mine I do most changes on old printout - this is what you select as render template on CAD view. Edit: just looked at it - PiWeb and old printout are not affecting each other - so for changing on PiWeb you must edit template on it.
[To...]
Yes, I totally misunderstood Dave's question. You can activate full size plots in your standard protocol by un-hiding the plot page. Open up the protocol editor, go to Pages tab at left. Right click on the Full Size Plot page and un-select Hidden. Check Page Preview (F11) to verify this is what you want. From the multiple reports page (or characteristics settings editor) you can select which plots you want.Plot protocol.JPGplot protocol 2.JPG
[Da...]
Thank you Tom ! Is this a global setting ? Can it be ?
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I don't know if there is a better way but it can be. When you customize a template, it is saved in C:\Users\Public\Documents\Zeiss\CALYPSO\protocol\PiWebReportingTemplates If you copy that template file and paste it as "StandardProtocol" into the defaults folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Zeiss\CALYPSO 7.0\PiWebReportingTemplates Make sure to save a backup copy as this will file will be overwritten every time the software is upgraded. Obviously, if you use "Template" programs to write programs, they can be set to be the template to use.
