How would you Measure this?

Hi Fellow Calypso Users,

I'd like to get your opinion on how y'all would measure this .600 ± .030 Constant dimension.
I feel there is a better way then just taking step points throughout the feature.
I did the best I can to show the contour of the feature without revealing too much.
Model = Yes
Curve = Yes
Freeform = No
PCM = No

I hardly imagine part but you can use curves and distance of curves. Perhaps you will need to make cuts to get distance.

I would create a curve all the way around the part but then split the curve into two segments in the strategy so you have each side in one curve. I would apply a .06 best fit profile to that and report min and max with a nice graphics element to explain why. That would be my plan but I am sure my plan would change by the time I was done.

I've grown fond of the Distance Check feature. Makes life a lot easier when you need to check a simple 2 point distance.

With the Curve Distance tool, it has a nice plot, so you can see the distance across the entire spline. 🙂
