Elementname change with PCM

Hello community,

i normaly choose names for my Messuring Elements based on features of that Element. For Example: I have 3 drilled Holes with Diameter 1.5.
So the names would be something like:
Circle D1.5 X0 Y0
Circle D1.5 X5 Y0
Circle D1.5 X10 Y0

Now if i change the Position and Diameter of that Element via PCM, the names can be missleading on the Protokoll.
I also wanna avoid names like Circle 1 ,Circle 2, etc... It would be a real Pain to come up with unique Names for everything.

Can i change the names with PCM somehow ?? It is not Possible to rightclick into the names and add an Formular or something.
But also i am not allowed to writhe ()[]{} etc in it. So i am hoping that Calypso is reading it not only as string.

How can it be done ? How are YOU dealing with the Problem ? Via smart naming or Coding ?

Maybe you can use the comment in the characteristic. There you can use Formula....

We are using numbered positions on drawings - wouldn't it be easier to make simple drawings with numbered markings on dimensions?

Yeah would be. Unfortunately we don’t create the drawings ourself, so this is no Option. Communication with our main Costumer in that regard is quite difficult

When we exchange results with customer and back we are sending results with our stamped drawings and customers sends their own stamped drawing.
