Hey All,

I fairly new to Calypso and scanning,
I Have a Bunch of these Profiles with Unequal tolerance Zone that are giving me a hard time, See Attached 5069_5207f14f5ea4027ee07ce78d8b8cc76a.png
Curious how you would Determine the settings(Speed, Step Width, Filter, Outlier, etc.) while scanning while scanning something like this for best results.

I'm using a Vast XXT Head and Using a 1.5mm Probe.
I currently am using a Speed of 0.118, Step Width of 0.012.
Dimensioning it with Unilateral with Unequal tolerance

Thanks

First mistake, which is actually quite common, is that you're using Unilateral. You should be using Bilateral with Unequal Distribution. That should help a bit.

When you create the nominal curve(s) multiply the nominal points by a minimum of 3x. Since
this callout is surface profile, I would (instead of curves) create a freeform surface from faces.
That is if there is enough material thickness.

Look into manuals for your version. In EN it is called "Free form surface" - can be done
  • Features -> Special Geometries -> Freeform Surface
  • CAD -> Creating features -> tab Points
