[To...]
I am trying to measure a long part that can't be in the measurement volume all at one time. I think I need to use Base Alignment Match but I've never used it before. Any pointers out there?

[To...]
Well, the pointer doc is not so clear. When I chose the bridge features, it says I will be prompted to manually measure those features but it did not. So, i figured maybe it will have when I run the program. I ran the base alignment, some features on the first location. It stopped and prompted to measure my bridge features manually. Completed that but when it went to re-measure in cnc, it went somewhere else. Tried setting this up on 2 occasions with no success. I'm sure it is something I am not doing correctly. If anyone has any helpful info on this, I'd appreciate it if you wouldn't mind posting it. TIA
[No...]
Also never used it. But I ask myself, how can a single bridge feature (even more if it's a circle without a direction, as the doc implies) make for a proper indicator of base alignment shift? Wouldn't you need at least one direction and one position?
[To...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I assume you could get away with one circle if you were able to control the movement of the part, i.e. slide part along precision rail
[Ow...]
Yeah, I should've added the disclaimer that I hadn't used it either. It's something I picked up and saved thinking the day would come I'd need it. Hopefully somebody figures it out.

[Ph...]
I create my programs to run from the features list so in order for the machine to know which alignment to use I have to go the Measurement plan editor features - Sequence after base alignment match. Then select those features and set to base alignment match for the machine to understand.
