features to datums and to themself

Hi all,

How would you interpret this and measure it ? I normally do this for curves when I check them back to datums and check a profile shape of themselves from the alignment of themselves.

I do not understand this 0.1 related to surface as for me is flatness ? The same for the wholes...

Sorry I forgot to add a picture. All I have done is I measured all the featured as a pattern whenever is a bigger tolerance and datums and small tolerance I applied for individual features. Is that correct ? 280_7b1a8b8cc4ca804cadf25664f8d351a6.jpg

It's called a composite profile and composite positional tolerance. It can be confusing when you read ASME's explanations. I think the .1 tolerance still applies to all 5 surfaces as a group. I would look at it as flatness too.

Is the position of the holes a group of holes? If it is a group then the .25 controls the positions of the holes in relation to each other. If it is not a group of holes then I don't get it.

Does this invoke ASME Y 14.5 ? That appears to be Multiple single segment, Not composite. Probably need more of the print to see what that unlocks/constrains. It might help with design intent. Is that what they want..
