[Na...]
I am trying to check runout ( radial and axial both) on CMM. it always shows me out of tolerance. but when I check manually on v blocks it shows me with in tolerance. can you please guide me what are factors I should consider when checking runouts. Currently I am using LSQ method. Gauss method in filtering ( 500 upr that matches my dia size) and outliers ( 5 adjacent points elimination) and I am scanning diameters. my tolerance is .0003 and form error shows me .0002 ( can form error be a problem?) Thanks in advance

[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Runout is a composite of the position (concentricity) and the roundness (form) of the feature. There are so many variables when it comes what it could be. Typically speed and Datum Construction are the main factors. Please post a screenshot of the graphical result of the Runout. It will give us more information.
