[Da...]
Just started working for a mold manufacturing company. I worked here before. These guys love space points ! They also like their printouts at 4 decimal places. However, a mold consists of a combination of wide tolerance mold features (+/- .001) areas, and fit or shutoff areas with tighter tolerances (+.0002) . I'm running a contura with xxt and rds. Lately I've had complaints that some of my numbers don't look right. Too much variability. I am reviewing my alignments on those parts and have yet to find a problem. I would like to extend the readouts to 5 places, but fear the backlash will be huge. (They don't like changes) But the resolution is a bit too low to tackle the .0002 or even the .0005 tolerances. Is there a way to run at 5 places and print out to 4 places ??? I know it doesn't really change anything, a part that is .00001 out of tolerance still shows red, but I would like to know just where I'm at !
