Subsidiary Radius

When I try and capture the measurement of a subsidiary radius of R.197 it will hit the adjoining plane. It is swings down to try and get the feature. I have tried to come into the feature from different clearance group and tried adjusting retrace distances to no avail. I'm using a -Z probe to get it.

Have you tried using CMM Position Points before and after the measurement strategy?

did you adjust for the inside or outside feature using the toggle button that is next to the name of the feature (torus or radius). Make sure that the button is set correctly

First measure sides to get exact corner ( side and top and make cut ). Then use touch point-radius and set 45° to touch.

Maybe add a Meas. Ref. to the plane? Or create an intersection to reference?

As previously stated, the Inside/Outside option probably needs to be changed. The radius selection on the subsidiary radius of a torus defaults to OD
