I have no idea, is there person who can explain that requirement easily. I could not find info in the Zeiss Portal's "Knowledge Base." precisionballs website has good information. Zeiss does all this for you when they calibrate the machine, and as long as you are calibrating yearly, I don't see why you would need to come back behind them an perform a check that isn't even as robust or accurate as what they are doing.
