If the liquid coming out is brown what does that mean? Bad air quality ? [Er...] Posted May 13, 2022 Share Posted May 13, 2022 The brown fluid should be oil from the air compressor. That is not unusual. In fact it has been an issue at several jobs. Oil in the air can shorten the life and destroy the air bearings. Although the compressor feeding the system was also a dryer, I had to change the filters frequently because water and oil came. We finally solved the problem by getting the following refrigeration dryer. It runs both of our 2 contura devices. I don't use the filters that come with Zeiss It changes the filters according to the service maintenance period.
