Probe qualification; Repeating Stylus

Why do some of my Stylus systems repeat qualification and others don't? I have programs created for each CMM for probe qualification (obviously specific to each machine) and at this point I have two drastically different stylus systems that will repeat up to 3 times (the entire system) before the program will move on to the next stylus system. This is occurring on two different CMM's and of course two different programs. Both CMM's are Contura's with Vast XT heads running calypso 2017. It mIght be worth noting that I am running these qualification programs while in Autorun.

Any Ideas?

Thanks

Not sure if you checked, but each stylus can be set to use Global settings or its' own unique settings. If you didn't already do so, check the settings for each stylus.

Is this similar to what Owen was showing in the picture he attached? Or is this a setting I find somewhere else? I am in my first year using calypso there are still a lot of things to learn.

Thanks

Wait a minute... changing "Max No of qualifications" will automatically make it remeasure if the S value is over your limit?

It seems everyday there's a new button I learn about

Yes. In the same window, if you change to a different stylus and click on "Set Limit Values" and you'll see the settings for that stylus. Since your issue only happens on some styli, maybe those styli have modified settings.

The Global settings are made under Extras > Setting > CMM > Stylus System. Changes made here will affect every styli on every stylus systems that uses the "Use Global Settings" option in the Probing Qualification window.
