angle measurement

Will angle measurement in this tolerance be successful with Contura device? ( 2,5º + 1' )
We are part of the project and we are doing a feasibility study, but we haven't produced any parts yet.

Have a dummy part made with just that feature and run tests on the CMM. It doesn't have to be to the print tolerance. Just close enough to proof the CMM with the stylus and setup you are going to use.

We produced a test piece, checked the cylinder angle with a Helix scan and the angle with a 2d Line. Looking at the repeatability by doing 10 reps, it turned out pretty good.

The print has 2 different Readouts !! 2.5 degrees, and a tolerance of plus 1 minute! You need to find out what they want. Your test dimensions look to be off. DMS or decimal degrees ???

It can be read as 2°30' +0°1' - so 2°30' to 2°31' is within tolerance

Yes the tolerancing is a mixed bag of decimal and fraction. Most confusing. I have made the same mistake.
