[St...]
I have a 3.000 in. OD cylinder at X0, Y0, Z0 is top surface perpendicular to the cylinder. Shouldn’t polar radius of every point on the cylinder be 1.500? For point9 shouldn’t R = 1.500, A= (angle to match vector) 16.05 degrees and H= z value of -.238? Is it projecting the 2D polar coordinates onto another plane instead of XY plane? Does this make sense to anyone?
[Ri...]
This is common with Polar Coordinates - you can switch the project to whatever you want though.
[St...]
Thanks Richard! That's what I was looking for. If it was a snake it would have bit me.
[Se...]
But you have to be very careful: every time you change the alignment, the datum for projected angle will revert to its original state. This is very annoying and can easily cause errors! 😠
