I'm just wondering do you think CMM(duramax)measure how deep the scratch is??

A profilometer would measure this. Read the manual and it will tell you which output would tell you the depth.

Most profilometers will not tell you either it's possible a skidless stylus model could using an RT measurement but I would not rely on the method being accurate. A surface contouring machine or laser would be a much more reliable method.

Measuring Rz value with a profilometer will give you some pretty good depth data.

I haven't seen one in a long time but, they used to make optical micrometers to check scratches.
