Thank you Jayesh. The post I recently saw said something about shutting down and re-starting Calypso several times. I just wanted to re-read it in case there was something else.

Hi Tom,

have had this error multible times in the past, always after installing new calypso Version or Service Pack
Did this Error accur after an update?
  • Maybe you or Calypso tried to copy the stylus database without admin rights, happend to me after an uptade first opening new calypso version there is a window popping up to import cmm data from older version, in my case i have to execute calypso as administrator and then import the stylus database
  • In an other case when updating calypso, windows wasn't able to install the SQL Server 2017 corectly, had to delete Calypso and reinstall it, worked on one cmm, had the same error on another cmm, did the same, still does not work, i almost lost all my cmm data, luckily i had a backup from a few months before. IT is still trying to find a solution to instal SQL Server....

Feedback from customer below

It appears out IT company did an update to our computers and it shut off our SQL server, not allowing the CMM to see the probe files. They worked on it for some time, then had to call Zeiss tech support and work with them to fix it. It is running now.
