[An...]
Hello, Recently I inspected and rejected some cylindrical parts due to profile out of tolerance. The supplier replied that they had performed the same inspection in a Hexagon showing the report as in tolerance so I decided make a test with a calibrated .998" pin gage and as you may see in the attached ppt the 2 end cylinders of the same pin gage are neither in the same position and the profile is also out. After re-calibrated the star a re-run the program a few times with same results I decided to call Zeiss hot line( Cmm is still under guarantee) and their advise was to increase the cylinders depth. However as you may see in the ppt the results were the same. Any feedback? Thank you998 PIN GAGE VERIFICAT.pptx

[An...]
Hi Dane, please see attached ppt of same measurement but on a longer pin gage. Same issue: the cylinders diam are OK but the position of cyl 2 is off in spite cyl 1 & 2 are actually the same.0.6303 PIN GAGE MEASUR.pptx
