[Ja...]
We had a power outage over night due to bad weather and now the master probe on our Duramax Zeiss won't qualify the calibration ball and the other probes are coming up saying they need qualification. Not sure what to do. Thanks
[Ri...]
What error is it giving you? Have you tried shutting everything down again (controller as well)?
[Ja...]
I don't remember the code number I think 1105 and it said insufficient amount of points and said to try again.

[Te...]
You are selecting Reference Sphere Position with MasterProbe attached correct? I would use qualify passive when referencing sphere position and see if the error goes away. Also make sure the R value looks correct 2.5 mm. Another thing to try is to Reference Sphere Position outside of a program and see if the issue goes away.
[No...]
Are you referencing manually or in CNC mode (program or repeat function)?
[la...]
We had this problem in July Error 1105 master probe would not qualify the calibration sphere... using Calypso 2020. As a temporary fix, we were able to use calypso 2019 for a few weeks and run qualification of probe styli on 2019. However, we were unable to use all our programs that were written using calypso 2020 on calypso 2019... this helped for a few weeks in limited fashion since 95% of our programs we use are written in 2020. This was not resolved until the 3rd Zeiss tech from Minnesota was able to walk us through resetting the settings for the system/ master probe in the software. the first two were unable to help but the last one did know what to do.... amazing complex settings but not impossible to navigate.... even the trainer was baffled. Goes to show you that you need to know to keep asking for help from the Technicians, this saved us an expensive in-person visit from Zeiss....error 1105.jpg

[la...]
cleaned off computer and moved a lot of old, duplicate files to free up space removed and reinstalled Calypso 2020 updated the software with service pack service call from a third Zeiss tech was able to access our settings and reset the VAST head settings.. not certain this was accurate recall of events, just shout out to the technician who was able to set us up again.. have been running well since late July? sometimes the computer will respond in German on Calypso software, when I remove a section of a program, it does. shut down computer and CMM and reboot and seems to work.
