Roller contacts are still open

I have loaded a new stylus system by hand but I keep getting the error message that the roller contacts are still open. I have attached a picture of the contacts of an old stylus system (left) compared to the new stylus sytem (right). I am assuming my issue is the contacts being different on the bottom of the stylus system, is this accurate? If so, is there anything I can do on my end to make this new stylus system work?

I dont think you can do anything about this. Make sure you buy the correct adapter plate. It looks like you have a XXT TL3 sensor and should make sure the description on website matches your sensor.

Most likely you have bought an incorrect adapter plate.

That is exactly what has happened. Operator error. However, what is the point in having these different style adaptor plates?

It belongs to a different configuration of sensor head. maybe XXT TL2 or TL1.

Jayesh is correct. You have adapter plates for XXT-TL1 and XXT-TL3. They are not interchangeable. To verify, check the label on the backside of the XXT sensor body.
