Something strange happening

I am building a 2 circle path strategy for a cone but have to measure one half at a time with 2 different angled styli. In the attached pdf, you can see that everything appears to be ok. When I run in simulation everything works as expected. However, there some obstruction above the cone that I need to avoid and so I added some position points before and after each circle path. You can see the rds angles match the circle path angles from the 1st page. However, when I opened the 2nd circle path, the rds angles have changed all on its own.

Were you rotated to B+30 when you created the position points? It may be inheriting the angle from the position points and changing it in the following paths. Similar to how a new feature inherits the angles that the head is at. If you change it to B-30 does it change back?
Just guessing here. There are some weird behaviors I've seen that happen when you have separate/multiple paths in a feature, position points, and angle changes. Kind of like how you can change the clearance plane in the main window, but it only affects the first of multiple paths. There's some sort of disconnect going on there. Or, it's a feature. 😕

I'm hoping to get an RDS CMM one day, love the fixed gold heads but, there are sometimes an RDS would save time and fixturing.
Until then,

There's something strange happening here.
But what it is ain't exactly clear.
There's a man with a gun over there.
Telling me I got to beware.
I think it's time we stop,
Children, what's that sound?
Everybody look, what's going down.
