Separate Clearance Planes for Alignments

Hello,

How do I set up different clearance boxes for different alignments? I thought it was as easy as using the drop down in the Clearance Plane window and selecting the appropriate Alignment. However, that only seems to work some of the time w/ no rhyme or reason as to why it works sometimes and not others...at least as far as I know.

This situation I have is I'm calibrating a gage that has a base and a mating pin. I have the base setup in one location to measure and then the pin is in a vise - straight up and down - so I can measure the concentricity of two diameters on the pin itself.

I have the base alignment on...naturally, the base. I have a "MAN_Pin_Align" so the operator can measure a manual cylinder (level and X & Y) and a manual small plane on top of the pin (Z). Then there is another alignment that recalls the manual alignment and runs the pin alignment in a loop (differenceSystem...etc).

Anyway, I need to setup separate parameters for clearance for the "Base Alignment" and the automatic pin alignment ("Pin_Align"). How do I do this? I appreciate any assistance. Thank you.

Clearance plane are based on base alignment.
I think sub clearance plane can help you.
