Error code -1012/-1215 during MasterProbe Qualification

Has anyone experience error codes:
-1012 "Error in the SDO durin the calculation for the qualification for linear sensors and during the definition of the start value for non-linear sensors"
or error code

1215 - "The sigma of the sphere measurement exceeds the default value defined for this machine. Please check the sigma value of the stylus to see if it meets your requirements."

I got these errors while trying to re-qualify the MasterProbe... I appreciate the help on what I need to resolve this...

It could be a number of things. Follow this list:
1. Restart the computer with Calypso and power the CMM controller off for 30 seconds then power back on.
2. Make sure everything is clean: MasterProbe sphere, reference sphere, stylus adapter plate, probehead adapter plate mounting surface, and RDS adapter plate and mating surface (if using an RDS).
3. Make sure everything is tight: no loose spheres on MasterProbe or reference sphere, reference sphere clamped down solid.

Hopefully this helps. I have seen this in the past with a Vast XXT with RDS but have not experienced it with any other sensors.

I am not the OP of this thread but thank you. This reply was very helpful to us. Somehow, the Vast XXT holder was loose from the RDS.
