System Error

I'm fairly new to the world of Zeiss. We use two identical Zeiss machines, and copies of the same programs on each machine. the last few days I've been having an issue with system errors popping up and freezing calypso. Once the error occurs i have to end the task through the task manager and restart calypso. The status window shows me no information on what happened during the run. Attached are screen grabs of the two Error messages that have popped up. Has anyone else ever experienced issues with these? it only happens on one of our machines and not the other even though the programs are exact copies of each other.

I would also be interested in learning what these errors indicate. Do you get this on both machines, or is it confined to one machine?

I was able to get around this by right clicking on the image and clicking on the "Open image in new window". This actually let me read it.

Thanks for the tip Matthew, I was able to read the messages . The first is a generic problem statement by Calypso that it can't figure out something. The second message was more informing. "A Primitive has failed" indicates a problem with either the CAD model or a problem with the graphics card. What is the make, model, and vintage of the computer running on the problem station?

Thanks everyone for the input and sorry about the scaling issue with the image. I should've made it a bit bigger but in my defense it looked a lot bigger on my secondary monitor when i posted it hah. The issue was definitely with the graphics settings. Apparently one of the windows updates changed all of the default settings for the graphics card and that caused ACIS27 to keep shutting down which froze everything out.

Roberto, who in their right mind wouldn't be brimming with joy to see Creed open up for every band out there? They really revolutionized modern music as we see it today am i right? (wink wink nudge nudge)

Well, i'm having a bit more of an issue than just the graphics card settings. Windows has decided that it randomly dislikes ACIS and forces it to close out while calypso is running. But as far as the settings go for the graphics card, you'd have to open your NVIDIA control panel, select "manage 3d settings", under the global presets (the top most drop-down window) select "Autodesk motion builder-compatible", then select "Set PhysX Configuration", from there you just select whatever processor your model of graphics card utilizes like quadro k2200 or quadro m4000 etc. But if you are experiencing similar issues you might want to also check the task manager, under the processes tab, and see if ACIS is being allowed to run as well. If ACIS isnt running then calypso will freeze out and you'll have to just force quit and open it back up.

I'm running a Quadro M2000M with windows 7 on a Lenova Thinkpad and I'm having zero issues. How long is Calypso running before the ACIS window freezes up?

The main issue i was having had to do with our IT. we use a VPN and a separate umbrella web filtering software and when the vpn automatically disconnects and reconnects to the umbrella it would force ACIS to close.

We had a similar issue. I think it was with anti-virus software after an update. I t thought acis was malware and would quarantine it, or something like that. IT no longer scans the Calypso folder.
