[Mi...]
Hi All, I'm new to Calypso software and have a few questions. 1) My manager has tasked me with adding probe angles in 15° increments for all our probes. I was wondering if there was a way to add the new ones and have the old ones in sequential order without having to go back and fix all the current programs?. For example, #1 is A0B0 #2 is A90B-90. I'd like it to be #1 A0B0 # 2 A0B15 so on and so on. 2) I've worked with PCDMIS, OPENDMIS and CMM manager for 2-3 years prior to calypso. Would you recommend attending the basic and advanced calypso training or would it be a waste of money for the company? Thanks in advance.

Answer to first paragraph, I am not working with articulated probe head even though I think it is possible with out disturbing program. First you add probe angle according to your requirements then go to the measurement plan feature editor and change the tip number in each program. Usually I do this for fixed head. For second paragraph, if your company don't have a calypso specialist and you don't have enough time for learning yourself then training would be the better option. I didn't go for any training , l was operating pcdmis, but two days I got Zeiss training in my company ,that was new machine training.

[Ro...]
If my boss insisted on having 17 tip angles at A0, then I would question my bosses grasp on reality. Let your boss know that often the worst ideas start with the phrase "you know what would be a great idea". Let your boss know that daily qualification program will now run for the entire 1ts shift. By the way, NEVER EVER EVER EVER let it slip that Calypso can move in increments of 7.5º.fdjhkfgdjhfgdhfgdh.JPG

[Da...]
I would have to ask him why he wanted so many angles. Why have a bunch of angles you will never use? If he just wants to know what angles #20 has, teach him how to get to the stylus system manager so he can see the angles and when they were last qualified.
