[Za...] Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 Hello everybody, We finally upgraded to 2019 today and I'm trying to figure out how to get my stylus system back with as little work as possible. Can anybody help me? I've exported the styli from 2018/imported the styli back into the stylus system in 2019, but the automatic change rack has nothing in it. I have all of my old programs and settings in Calypso, the only thing I've noticed (so far) that's missing is the automatic probe change rack settings. [Ch...] Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 I believe the probe rack settings are contained within the 'config' folder. Replacing the new config folder with the original config folder should transfer those settings. I do almost no manual transfer of settings or probes to the new versions of calypso. [Za...] Posted June 16, 2020 Author Share Posted June 16, 2020 I think I got it figured out. I didn't set up the rack originally and I'm a little over a year into my CMM experience. I had to do this once before when it was accidentally deleted, but I don't remember it being this much of a pain. [Ch...] Posted June 16, 2020 Share Posted June 16, 2020 I've never parsed out the folder. I would recommend just swapping out the entire folder. If you have spent a lot of time setting up the new version of Calypso, then swapping the entire folder may undo any work you have done. I just wanted to make you aware of the risk. Thanks, I'm going to have to get IT to allow me to replace the files if I go that route, but as of right now, the machine is trying to put the stylus back in the holder and the stylus will not release into the holder so it goes to the next holder and tries that one.
