merged measurement plan

It's for use on horizontal arm CMMs - where you'd have an arm on one side of the artifact, and one on the other. It allows you to bring all the data into one program/report.

Yes, you can use how ever you wish. I've sometimes used it to take two measurements plans from different "tempos" to merge in to one protocol.
Doesnt really matter if its an arm, bridge or a micura. As long as you have two plans with results, you can use it.

Its like a subsequent evaluation for two plans, that fu*ks up your naming in the protocol.

When you open a merged plan then you will have a new selection in resourcess menu called "import measurement plan". then from here you will import 2 measurement plans and you this merged plan for just calculation.

it is usefull when you cant measure the part with just one time on the CMM. so you first measure the part ( for example upper side) then flip the part and measure again. then merge them in one part. or your Y axis is 1000 mm and your part is 1500 mm . then you measure 2 times the part and merge in one plan. magically your y axis is now 1500 mm 🤣
