2D profile and alignment

2d Profile with new alignment,
Wondering if I might get some help. I have a 2d curve that occurs multiple times around this part. Each on the curves has its own Z zero point directly adjacent. In my program, after the base alignment, I created the 16 points independently not using a pattern. I then created 16 alignments at the various angles with the Z reference being the created points. When I create my curve, I click the feature that represents my curve at position 1 and create the 2d curve. I then go to the curve and fix vectors, speeds, points and assign the alignment with the relevant point and angle. When I look at the Z axis in the 2d curve the Z is always something odd. Plus .043, -.024 even after I have applied the alignment. Any thing obvious to anyone? I’ve tried altering the “keep Position” but I don’t think that is the source of the problem. Am I possibly missing something when I create the geometry?
Any help will be appreciated. 729_71352fde3e3d533c468f2068a05344b4.png

I am most likely misunderstanding what you are trying to do. Are you trying to create 16 curves, equally distanced from center, each 22.5 degrees apart? I would create one curve. Create an alignment and click on the "special" button and rotate by angle 22.5 degrees around Z axis. Then, copy/paste the curve. Go into the second curve feature, select keep position, and then select the new alignment, uncheck keep position and select base alignment. Copy/paste the second curve to get a third curve and do the same thing with the alignment to the third curve. You only need the one alignment. Use it as a tool to rotate something. By setting the curves back to base alignment, you can delete the new alignment when finished with it. But, all of these curves would have the same Z nominal so I think I am misunderstanding something.

(Shabu) Unfortunately I cannot provide a print.

Thank you Jason. Yes, I am aware of this method but was using an older program that did not take advantage of that. It might have been version related, I can't say. The larger problem and the reason for the multiple alignments is that this is a plastic part an the area where the point is taken varies as you move around the part. Each curve must be based on the point for its Z zero location.
I will revisit how I expressed this for better clarification.
Thank you for your help.

I see. You can right click in the Z nominal of the curve and use a formula to get the nominal from the point actual. I have done this with features but I am not sure what it will do with a curve.
