I have a issue with the probe taking a point and then coming up and instead of moving to the next point it comes right back down to try and go in a straight line and go through the point its already taken. How do I fix this?

Was this an existing program or your new creation ? I would make sure you don't have a duplicate point. Then check clearance plane for each point. There also can be a move point hidden within the strategy if an existing program.

This is a newly created program. Where would I go to see if there is a hidden point somewhere. What I was looking to do was a sperate clearance move before and after each hit so it wouldn't go thru the part but I just cant figure it out.

This could be as simple as an incorrect Clearance Plane
Example: You want to move up and over in Z, but one point has an X or Y clearance plane.

So my clearence plane is set to Z+ but still takes the point and then comes back down and tries to go thru the point it already took. So im very confused

Either open each point, so you can see the yellow vector arrow in the CAD window. Or the faster way: Go to CAD settings / Strategy and set the checkmark at "show strategy when element selected" (rough translation, I don't have an English Calypso at hand right now).
After that you only need to select a point feature in the features tab to see the arrow. See if one is pointing in the wrong direction. The CMM always tries to probe against the arrow.

To see the vectors, with the feature open, you may have to right click on the cad screen and select "show nominal points".
If one of the vector arrows is pointing the opposite direction, it will try to go thru the part to access it.

Another thing to look at, open the feature strategy and select the points list, then when the point list opens up, select "special data" to show what stylus each point is using. If one of the stylus's is not like the others, it can also cause what you're experiencing.

I had problems with too many blocked edges in the past. When the program picked up a probe from a storage bay to the far left or right of the part, I sometimes got error messages that it couldn't reach a clearance plane. I then had to move the probe behind the part in X before restarting the program.
