Editing true position for excel

We are checking some parts to a print bubbled by the customer.
We ask for additional printout so that the T.P. shows the X,Y coordinates.
EX: bubble 7 is the T.P. callout.
bubbles 8 and 4 are the boxed dimensions. Can I get the X,Y coordinates to just show the single bubble.
I know I could edit it manually but we will be doing a lot of these and a report needs to accompany each part

The easiest fix i can think of is creating a master excel report that you would fix only once. Then copy the results from the excel cmm report to the master copy that has it numbered correctly, and save it as a different name/location for the specific part ran. Unfortunately, whatever you name the position, shows up for the X Y coordinate name as well.

Thanks Eric,
I kinda figured that was what I'd need to do. Or just go in and rename.
I was hoping that some how I could get into Calypso and edit that program. But oh well...

Hello everybody,

I'm working on a similar problem right now.
But my solution is to use Excel with PowerQuery
(Excel with PowerQuery or min Excel2016 must be installed on the measuring computer).
I have created a "new" template with 2 spreadsheets.
You can use this template with Calypso as a replacement for "Characteristic.xlt".

The "Report" worksheet is simply formatted as a table in the range of the measured values and PowerQuery connections/queries have been created for this worksheet.
The Excel file is attached as a zip file.

So far it is only a "QuickandDirty" solution to Kevin's problem. Please do not pay attention to the formatting of the header of the rearranged worksheet.
We search for results and not roof formatting 🙂

I didn't type any values of Kevin into the proposal, only the characteristics names and extended with a fictitious TruePosition (X,Z).
This proposal was created with a German Excel version, I hope this "rearranged" version works for you.
It should also work, as Eric suggested to copy the data into this file.
Copy the data into the spreadsheet "Report" and then don't forget to update it.
Tab Data -> update.

I'm not a professional in PowerQuery, but I try to deal with it. 🙂

Many greetings from Bavaria, near Germany. 🙂

Gerhard
