[Ne...]
When I create a rotational pattern, how do I separate the individual hole in features (to use certain holes for angles, etc) and name them differently on the characteristics side so machining operates can relate to print? Thanks, for any help on this...
[No...]
I think you just add the number of the desired element in brackets after the name. But now that I think about it I'm no longer sure. Haven't used patterns in a while.
[De...]
In the characteristic you would use the notation FeatureName(1) to get the first element in the pattern. The entire pattern is referenced with FeatureName(*) Individual elements are referenced with FeatureName(x) where x is the number of the element you want. [Da...]
Guessing you're going to construct a line ??? You can select the "+" next to the patterned feature and open all of the individual features with in the pattern, Then select what you need. [Me...]
start rant... The pattern "feature" is one of my biggest sore points with Calypso. There's no reason we shouldn't be able to either group the features, as it is currently, or create individual features separate from each other with the pattern function. Trying to pattern already patterned features and keep track of nested features is ridiculous, IMO. No reason I can comprehend why we can't do this. end rant... [Ri...]
After many try's, and an unsuccessful call to support where I was told that you couldn't rotate a pattern (with grouped features) then assign other styli to the new position, I came up with the following solution. I attached a PDF of my method, it worked great for me, I hope it helps you!ROTATIONAL PATTERNING OF A GROUP.pdf
