[Ni...]
Hello Everyone, I am having trouble creating 2 Segments under 1 3D Curve for a Line Profile. I have followed the correct steps. First, created 2 sections of where I would like to segments to be made. Then selected each individual line of those section cuts in order to create the 3D Curve and specified how many points to be contained in that 3D Curve. But when I select the 3D Curve and select "Strategy" it still only shows one segment. Has anyone had experience doing this kind of thing? I have multiple programs to make this change to, and only one program that has this already completed. But I cannot figure out for the life of me how the previous programmer created it! Please help out if you can. Thank you,
[Ow...]
So, you're holding down the ctrl key when you select each line? It should work. You might try auto-healing the cad model if it doesn't but, don't choose build geometry or stitching when you do auto-heal, just select correct boundary. I just tried it on my system and it creates 1 segment for both lines selected. You have to go in and split the curve in the strategy to create two segments to measure them separately. I've attached an older document showing how to segment the curve(slide 13 and 14), the method described should be about the same in newer versions of calypso.Curve Masking and segments edit.pptx
