[Me...]
Good afternoon I have a question, how can I calculate in the program the flatness between the interaction of a cylinder and a plane if I'm only interested in the flatness generated by the diameter of the cylinder
[SH...]
Hi The intersection between cylinder and plane will be a line, you can check only the stratness of the line. If you wanna check flatness of a cylinder you should use cylindercity inplace of flatness.
[Me...]
I have a plane of one square inch but I'm interested in the flatness of the diameter (0.250) that forms the projection or interaction between my plane and cylinder, I don't know if the calypso is able to do it
[Ne...]
Hello German, Are they only concern about the flatness of the plane at the cylinder? If so you could do a circle path strategy of the plane around the hole. If they want to take into account the tilt of the axis of the cylinder, then Calypso would want to use perpendicularity Neil
[Me...]
This is the flatness that I am trying to findtest.png
[Me...]
I would do multiple strategies with the plane feature. Do a circle path with the X,Y,Z coordinates and Diameter of the cylinder intersect. Then add a strategy for the rest of the plane. Create a plane with feature point recall from that circle path intersect. This will give you the flatness of that intersect area only.
