[Ro...] Posted July 30, 2019 Share Posted July 30, 2019 Were in the final stages of getting our new contura ordered, hopefully everything gets approved and a new contura should be here by november. The contura i have has a vast gold XT, the new one will have the XXT articulating. My boss asked me if i will be able to have 2 "profiles" setup for the 2 different machines and i said sure. but now i'm thinking about it, i'm not sure. Like i know i can go to Extras>settings>CMM and change out the head, but i also need my probe files & rack and all that other stuff to do with the different sizes of work envelope, so now i don't know how im going to do that. Is there a switch for an offline seat to emulate multiple machines? Does that cost extra? (of course it will, this is calypso) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
[Ri...] Posted July 30, 2019 Share Posted July 30, 2019 You can have multiple machine tabs on any seat of Calypso. Extras - Settings - CMM - Measuring System. You will type in the name for the machine, and click on Add. Now you will have two machine tabs, and you can make one your Contura with the Vast XT, and one with the RDS XXT. I clicked around between the Simulation and the G2 tab and tried changing the name and stuff, but its not working. But since i have lots of time ill just call Zeiss tech and have them set it up for me.
