[Da...]
What am I doing wrong ?? If i program a CC to known diameter sizes and lengths and correct cone angle the nominal line shows up in the correct location. So then I run the program and the actual points are all way off location and diameter. I used cone calc to find the diam and location for the CC!! But it won't go there... 😕
[Te...]
Did you select Circle on a cylinder to create the circle on the cone? If you extracted the cone and changed it to a circle that could be the problem. There is an axis line it is trying to create because it has a depth. [Da...]
I've done it both ways and then some other ways. The problem is that I can write the program from scratch, with no model at all, and the nominal line will not be in the right place. I can also touch off on a part and the same thing happens. I guess the thing that pisses me off most, is writing the nominal position and size , and having it locate in the wrong place. I mean , I wrote it into the correct location !!! 😭
[Me...]
Please sign in to view this quote. It's a bug in the graphical display of actual points.
[Ia...]
If I measure a cone, and ask for the two diameters at specific heights I get a certain measurement. Then if I create two individual circles in the same cone at the same heights, I get an entirely different measurement. It's very misleading...
