[Da...]
I'm measuring a 500mm diameter plate and using predefined point locations distributed across the feature. I'd like to use individual probing points in calculations in a result element characteristic. Is there a way to achieve this in the formula window?Capture.PNG
[Ri...]
You will probably have to recall each point from the Plane into individual Point features. Point - Recall Feature Points - Right Click on the Plane - Add Range Limits - Click on the top right button "New Point" - Enter the corresponding Point #. - Repeat Edit - Turn on Recalculate Nominal Geometry, but make sure you do not have any actual data in the Plane, so it will calculate correctly. [Ro...]
Or you could do it the other way and probe the part using points, then create a theoretical (recall) plane from them. That way you can do whatever you want with your points.sdfjklvbsfdjklvbsdvbsld.JPG
[Ri...]
Dave, these are all excellent tips. I would only add one thing. You may want to go to Features Settings Editor/Units/Roundoff meas. for preset nominal value. Pull down the "Set to" menu and select Off. This will prevent any rounding of the recalled values. [Da...]
Thanks everyone! This helps quite a bit. I had no idea the right click menu existed for the "recall feature points" list. "Add Range Limits" looks like it will work just fine for what I need. Thanks again!
