Problems with CAD after moving with 'Positioning"

Hi all,

I've got a weird issue after upgrading to the latest Service Pack on 2018 6.6.16

If I load a CAD and don't move it, everything is fine. If I take a point, on the CAD surface, it appears where I clicked with the mouse.

The problems start when I reposition the model with "CAD- Modify CAD entities - Positioning" menu
After doing that, if I click on the model to take a point, it appears where it would be originally before moving.
In the second picture I have clicked on the front face to take a point, and it appeared 2" in front of the part - that's where the front face originally was before moving.

I have checked it on two different stations with the same result.
Any ideas what may be causing it?
Thanks,
Wojtek

Do you have any instances of Calypso still on 6.6.12? While I wasn't moving CAD models around like you, I also had issues with misbehaving points on 6.6.16. I had to downgrade to fix them.

The point's vector changes correctly, its just the location.

And I don't have 6.6.12 installed anymore, but I know it was behaving correctly.

It's not a deal breaker for me, as I usually rotate the part's model by setting spatial and planar rotations. This way it works correctly. However, if I subsequently add some fixture models I run into issues. There is a couple of fixes in 6.6.16 that I like so I won't be reverting 😉

Thanks for input!

I have this issue currently once you move the CAD away from the established Base alignment. It will generate points with the CAD surface, then relocate it to what seems like a random location.

I established a temporary alignment and it resolved my problem, never had the issue prior to 6.6.12 though. kinda weird. 😃

I have found in a few features created from models there is a CAD Evaluation View being generated.
Select a feature that is moving when selected, then check the menu: CAD / Evaluation.
If there is a view saved, there will be a "Trash Can" icon in the lower middle area of the window frame.
Delete the view.
