[Ke...]
If I am making a Star of L probe what is the max length I can use for the probes horizontally? I though it was 50 mm but cannot find it in my notes.

[Ca...]
I was completely unaware there were limits on this. If I'm interpreting the graphic correctly, a TL3 in the "down" position cannot use a probe longer than 125mm? Is that because the probe is too great a distance from the qualification origin of the master probe? I've had a couple of probes longer than this, which I made sure were within the weight requirements, but they've worked fine for me. Am I playing with fire? [Ow...]
This is the specification sheet I have on the XXT that says the The TL3 allows up to 150mm down and 65mm to the side is the limits.
[Me...]
Please sign in to view this quote. Same. I use a 3x100mm Probe and calibrate it at least once a week and rarely have repeatability issues.

[Ri...]
Please sign in to view this quote. I think it has more to do with probing force. The XXT is spring based, so the longer the stylus, the lower the probing force.
