Is there a document on Feature Display since it works different on 2018. You cannot just highlight stuff from the feature list and change the display (like Cartesian to Cylinder positions) you need to create a list and then change each one individually.

I haven't even seen a whats new in Calypso 2018 pdf yet, does anyone have one?

Ted,
If you have 2018 and are talking about the 'release notes', you'll find them behind the 'question mark' on your top toolbar in Calypso. Outside of that, I don't know of a 'what's new' pdf... sorry.

There was a what's new for Calypso 2017 which I have attached.

I was just wondering if there is one for 2018.

Feature Display works totally different then previous version so I was hoping there was some kind of documentation on it (there will be one soon...because I will make one 😃).

I will check the release notes....It is mentioned in the release notes on page 2-16 and 2-17 but doesn't explain how it works.

Before with nothing highlighted on the feature tab you made a global change (program level) when selecting the button. If you selected features (highlighted them) and then pressed the button only those features would change. Now you have to add features to the list and then change the individual features. I seem not to be able to select the features as a group to make the changes, can add to the group using shift or control but to change the actual feature I have to do one at a time.

The best source of information besides phone support is usually the help file or the manual (they're mostly identical). Sometimes brand new features are not yet included, some of them never make it in (like many optical features), but I'd look there first.
Looking forward to your documentation 🤠

I'm not seeing much that gets me excited. Zeiss is going all in on P$Web. Also, it seems like Calypso may be able to update automatically with no user input with this release.

The PiWeb train is running on full speed since Calypso 2015 😉
Regarding automatic updates, this doesn't mean forced updates in Windows 10 style, it just means that an admin can set Calypso up for unattended installation, so he/she doesn't need to go to every machine, but can roll it out to all of them at once.

Hey Ted,
I highlighted 3 cylinders, clicked Features Display icon. Under position, I selected the Cylinder Coordinates radio button then click OK. Unlike previous version, I didn't need to select Modify under the Mode option.

You can find Release Info under the help menu. I tried to attach it but is was too big. (26mb)
