Capability of curve form

I have been asked to run capability on a curve form characteristic. I don't think this is feasible however I thought I would run it by the guys here first. Problem is curve form reports Max dev (+) Min dev as the result. I have a total zone of 0.3mm wide (± 0.15).. My values are always in the 0.25 range but some plot show good and some plots show this feature bad. Has anyone ran capability on curve form characteristic before with any luck? if so, how did you do it?

I have never used "Curve Form" for evaluation.
I have used curve with line profile and got a very
good cpk, what is the difference in the two?

Are you using 2d, or 3d curves?

We use it to get a visual of profile on 2d scans usually. If you have a profile of 0.2 you normally tolerance the curve form at ±0.1. I don't think its possible to show capability on this because depending on the shape of the profile, you can have readings that are good and bad with the same value.

Profile is called out to a datum ref frame where cure form typically uses a LSQ alignment.
