Calypso reverting to defaults.

About a week ago, Calypso started reverting to default settings over night. All measurements are in metric, 4 decimal places, blank startup page, no programs listed in the history. It's like a fresh install. I haven't changed anything. We have in-house IT for the PICNIC's, and external IT for the really heavy lifting. Everyone states nothing has changed.

Any guesses as to why my settings aren't sticking?

I'm not sure if Calypso is capable of running over a network or not, but just curious, is your computer a terminal connecting to the network, or are your config files located on a network?

Calypso is installed on a computer, not a network. I have 2 computers, one for the CMM, the other is for offline programming. The online (CMM) seat isn't having any problems.

If everyone's stating nothing has changed, then usually something HAS changed 😉
I'd take a look at the permissions of the config folder first. Many of the settings you mention are stored in a number of files named 'values' (scattered over different subfolders). Check if they exist, their date of last modification and the permissions.

I have a similar issue with mine. Sometimes it will give me no history or a history files from calibration on the welcome screen. In each case I have had to change my environment to Inches from mm. My tech said it could be possible due to still having prior versions installed. I haven't delved into it much since it seems to be a rare occurrence.

Actually I had a thought. When I recently upgraded to 2017, the file path changed and I had multiple folders, and when I went to load Calypso, even importing data and moving my backup folders I still had a blank slate, even no stylus systems. If you go to Extras>Settings>Miscellaneous>Internals and see if the file path name matches what you're supposed to be using? I believe Norbert's theory as well, so maybe it's a start.
