[ZE...]
Hey all, Trying to calibrate this probe. The purpose is to be able to rotate the stylus at a 90 degree angle, and have the probe facing upwards. However, I'm having trouble calibrating it, as it keeps hitting the stem of the reference sphere. I use the 6 points method. I've tried decreasing the sphere coverage. Has anyone had success in using "manual mode"? I've heard bad things, but I might have to soon. Running out of ideas. Thanks in advance. [ZE...]
If it's hitting the stem of the sphere then the software thinks the sphere/stem is in a different position, I'd check your tilt and rotation of sphere when you qualify master. And are you probing in the direction of the stylus shaft, not the extension? And what probing system do you have? [ZE...]
This may be applicable to your situation, if not it might come in handy down the road? Clarke Gilbert | 03-28-2018 09:50 PM |Calc_Sphere_Coverage.xlsx
