[No...]
Does anyone else experience frequent connection problems to either the sensor (here: ATOS Capsule) or the automation hardware (here: GOM ROT 640) in Inspect 2025? Almost every time when I start the software after powering up sensor and table, the initial connection to one or both of them fails. In some cases I can establish a connection on the second try, but often no connection is possible at all and I have to power down the devices again and restart the software. This does NOT happen with software 2023. Sometimes the sensor needs some time until its ready after power-up, but after that the connection always works. Connecting to the rotary table has never failed. Edited November 22, 2024
[Na...]
Hello, a wild guess would be some kind of interference by a security program/virus scanner, where Inspect 2025 is not permitted yet. If not, please contact the support with a fresh gomsic, ideally. Nanno
[No...]
I'll be watching the issue for some time and try some things, but then yes, I'll contact support. I just wanted to put out a feeler here if this might be an already known problem and possibly software/driver related. [La...]
Hi, have you figured out what was causing problems with connection? I have the same problem since 2025 software was uploaded but instead of turning off and back on the devices, I open 2023 software, initialize the sensor, then close it and initialize it in 2025 and then it works. [Fr...]
Hello, i have exactly the same issue like Lara and Norbert. In SW 2025 i have often connection errors with the sensor device. But all updates are done also for the sensor driver. It´s very strange, sometimes it works sometimes not.
[No...]
I decided to wait for the next service pack first. In the meantime I use 2023 for scanning as long as it is available. Since I most of the time only export STL files for evaluation elsewhere, it's no big issue doing that. Evaluation happens on another PC without a sensor connected. My guess is that the new driver architecture introduced some kind of hypersensitivity against minor connection problems. Maybe there are timing issues or something like that. Our copper connection to the sensor always showed rather frequent connection losses when the sensor is tilted in unusual positions. That also happened in older versions, but immediate reconnection was possible. Maybe now this is causing the drivers to freak out?
