Calypso error

Hello Ali,

What is happening when this is occurring? Are you trying to home? If so, do you have the offsets set correctly for the X, Y and Z axes (usually 5/-5/-5 or 10/-10/-10 mm)? I would think we'd see a different error for those, but maybe.

If not, then I am guessing that this is likely to be a hardware related problem, especially if the drives are shutting off. The best course of action may be to contact your local ZEISS support and put a ticket in for their hardware team.

Make sure the air bearing paths are clean, wipe them off with a clean lint free cloth with alcohol. We had something like this happen when an operator put his hand on the bearing surface.

Another reason could be insufficient air pressure. There are limits set to air pressure and if your air pressure drops below the low limit it would result in drives shutting off.

I did this a long time ago based on Zeiss tech recommendation. I don't remember exactly but the pressure setting (reading you see on the digital readout of the valve) was close or same as the low limit (which I believe is 5.0) so any time the output pressure dropped even .1 it would shut off the drives. We increased the setting to 5.2 using the arrow keys and the problem went away.
